Kessoncoda are a two-piece band blending atmospheric electronics, cinematic alternative textures, and emotionally driven songwriting into an immersive hybrid sound.
Built around tension and contrast, the duo move between shadowy minimalism and explosive rhythmic energy — creating music equally suited to late-night club systems and solitary headphone listening.
Following support from Gilles Peterson, BBC Radio 6, NTS, KEXP, Jazz FM, J-WAVE and a 4-star review from The Guardian for their debut album Outerstate, 2026 marks a defining new chapter for the band.
On June 5th 2026, Kessoncoda release Greyscale Sunrise/Sundown Mix — a reimagined expansion of their 2024 album track Greyscale — ahead of a brand-new self-released EP arriving October 2nd 2026 featuring a guest appearance from Irish singer-songwriter Biig Piig.
Greyscale Sunrise/Sundown Mix captures the duo’s signature balance between atmosphere and momentum. Built on layered synth work, hypnotic percussion, and emotionally resonant vocals.
Greyscale Sunrise Mix
An ambient reinterpretation built around pulsing synth textures, restrained rhythm, and early-morning atmosphere.
Greyscale Sundown Mix
A broken-beat reconstruction transforming the original into a darker, widescreen listening experience.
Release date: 5th June 2026
The forthcoming EP represents a major turning point for the duo creatively and independently. Written and produced during a period of transition, the project embraces darker emotional themes, heavier sonic textures, and a more fearless experimental approach.
The record also features a guest appearance from singer-songwriter Biig Piig, bringing an additional layer to the project.
As the band’s first self-released body of work, the EP reflects a new level of artistic independence and creative control — allowing the duo to fully define the visual, emotional, and sonic identity of the release.
The project stands as their most cohesive and ambitious work to date: cinematic, immersive, intimate, and uncompromising.
Additional details, tracklist information, and pre-save links will be announced closer to release.
Kessoncoda combine live instrumentation and electronics into an immersive, emotionally charged live set balancing cinematic detail with physical energy.
